We read every message, and a real person writes back.
Email support@sidewalker.app — we aim to reply within two business days.
Parents are welcome to write in directly with questions about safety, privacy, or billing.
Before you write: the User Guide covers every screen in the app, and the FAQ answers the questions we get most — including a section written for parents.
SideWalker Pro is billed by Apple through your Apple Account. We never see your card details and we can't change your billing ourselves — but everything below is under your control.
Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep Pro features until the end of the period you've already paid for, then the app returns to the free tier — your walks, clients, and earnings all stay put.
New phone, or reinstalled the app? Because SideWalker has no accounts, purchases travel with your Apple Account. Sign in with the same Apple Account you bought with, open the Settings tab, tap the SideWalker Pro upgrade row, and choose Restore Purchases.
If Settings already shows SideWalker Pro is active, you're set — there's nothing to restore, which is why the button isn't there.
If you bought SideWalker Lifetime, the same restore applies — it's a one-time purchase, so there's nothing to renew or cancel.
SideWalker Pro supports Family Sharing. A parent can buy once and everyone in the Family Sharing group gets Pro. If it isn't showing up for your teen, confirm the purchase was made with Family Sharing enabled and that they're signed in to the family group, then tap Restore Purchases.
All SideWalker purchases go through Apple, so Apple handles refunds — we have no way to issue one. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If something in the app went wrong, email us anyway; we'd like to fix it.
This is the most important page on this site. SideWalker stores everything on your phone and nowhere else — that's what keeps it private, but it also means we have no copy of your data. If you lose the phone and it isn't backed up, the walks, clients, and earnings are gone and we cannot recover them.
Turn on iPhone backup once and you're covered:
A backup made to a computer works too, as long as you choose the encrypted option. When you set up a new phone from that backup, SideWalker's data comes back with it.
The timer runs as a Live Activity. Check Settings → SideWalker and make sure Live Activities is on. Low Power Mode and Focus modes can also hide or delay them.
Start inside the app, on the Settings tab under Calendar Sync. Confirm Sync to iOS Calendar is switched on, then check the Calendar picker just below it. Sync writes to that one calendar, and a rarely-viewed calendar is the usual culprit.
If the toggle won't stay on, iOS permission is the blocker. Open the iPhone Settings app → SideWalker → Calendars and allow access.
Sync runs both directions: moving or deleting a walk in your iOS Calendar updates SideWalker too.
In the app, open the Settings tab and look under Notifications. The Remind … min before stepper sets your lead time — and the same value sets the alert on synced calendar events, so changing it fixes both at once.
If reminders still don't arrive, open the iPhone Settings app → Notifications → SideWalker and confirm Allow Notifications is on. Then check whether a Focus mode is filtering them out during the hours you walk.
Check Settings → SideWalker → Photos. "Limited Access" works fine, but you'll only see the photos you've specifically allowed — switch to full access if picking photos feels unexpectedly empty.
SideWalker composes the request and hands it to Venmo, Apple Cash, or PayPal — it never moves money itself. If the request didn't arrive, the handoff is the place to look: make sure the other app is installed and signed in. Anything about the payment itself is between you, your client, and that payment service.
Email support@sidewalker.app. What helps most:
Feature requests genuinely shape what gets built next. If SideWalker is missing something your walking business needs, tell us.
SideWalker collects no personal information and requires no account. The Privacy Policy covers what that means in detail, and the Terms of Use cover subscriptions and the ground rules for using the app.
