SideWalker Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and Tower Trove LLC ("we," "us"), a New Jersey limited liability company, covering the SideWalker app and this website. We've kept them in plain English on purpose — plenty of the people using SideWalker are teenagers, and terms nobody can read aren't worth much.

By downloading or using SideWalker, you agree to what's below. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

Your license to use the app

SideWalker is licensed to you, not sold. Your license is Apple's Standard End User License Agreement, which applies in full and is incorporated into these terms by reference. The terms on this page add to it. Where the two genuinely conflict, Apple's Standard EULA controls.

Who can use SideWalker

SideWalker is built for teenagers and casual walkers running a small neighborhood business.

• If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission to use SideWalker, and they must agree to these terms on your behalf. The app's Start Your Business guide asks you to get that sign-off for good reason.
• If you are under 13, please don't use SideWalker. The app is not designed or intended for children under 13, and it is not offered in the App Store's Kids Category.
• A parent or guardian who permits a minor to use SideWalker accepts these terms for them and is responsible for supervising how the minor uses it — including the real-world walking work that happens outside the app.

SideWalker Pro: subscriptions and purchases

SideWalker is free to download and free to keep using with one client. SideWalker Pro unlocks unlimited clients, unwatermarked report cards, batch payment requests, and custom themes.

SideWalker Pro — Monthly

$4.99 per month. Auto-renewing subscription, one-month period.

SideWalker Pro — Yearly

$39.99 per year. Auto-renewing subscription, one-year period.

SideWalker Lifetime

$79.99, charged once. A one-time purchase, not a subscription — nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel.

SideWalker is offered on the US App Store only, and prices are in U.S. dollars. Apple shows you the exact price and period before you confirm any purchase, and that screen is what governs.

All purchases are processed by Apple, so Apple handles refunds — we can't issue them. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Except where the law requires otherwise, purchases are non-refundable by us.

If we ever change subscription pricing, the change applies to future renewals only, and Apple will ask for your consent before charging you a higher price.

What SideWalker is — and what it isn't

SideWalker is a record-keeping tool that runs on your phone. It helps you time walks, keep a schedule, track what you've earned, and make report cards. That's the whole job.

Specifically, we are not responsible for:

• Anything that happens during a walk — injury to you, to a dog, to another person, or damage to property.
• Disputes with clients, including a client who doesn't pay or disputes what's owed.
• Payments themselves. SideWalker composes a request and hands it to Venmo, Apple Cash, or PayPal; money moves through those services under their terms, never through us. We never process, hold, or see your money.
• The accuracy of what you or anyone else types into the app.

Your responsibilities

• Walk safely and legally. Follow the leash, licensing, and local rules where you walk. If you're a minor, stay within whatever limits your parent or guardian sets.
• Be honest with clients about your rates, your availability, and what happened on a walk.
• Handle your own taxes. Money you earn walking dogs may be taxable income. SideWalker's earnings totals are a convenience, not tax advice or an official record.
• Keep your phone backed up. See below.

Information you enter about other people

When you add a client, you're storing another person's information — their name, maybe their address, their dog, sometimes photos of it. That data lives on your phone and never reaches us, but it's still theirs. Treat it with care: don't share a client's details or photos of their dog or home without their okay, and delete a client's information when you stop walking for them and no longer need it.

The Start Your Business guide

SideWalker includes a seven-step guide to starting a walking business. It's general educational material written to be genuinely useful — it is not legal, tax, financial, or business advice, and it isn't tailored to your situation or your state's rules. Following it doesn't guarantee you'll find clients or make money. For anything that matters legally or financially, talk to a qualified professional, and if you're a minor, talk to your parent or guardian first.

Your data and backups

Everything SideWalker records stays on your device. We operate no servers and hold no copy of your data, which is the point — but it also means we cannot recover your data if you lose your phone. Keeping a current iPhone backup is your responsibility. Our support page explains how, and the Privacy Policy covers the rest.

Our intellectual property

SideWalker, its name, logo, app icon, and the content of the Start Your Business guide belong to Tower Trove LLC. SideWalker is a trademark of Tower Trove LLC. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer, or redistribute the app or its content, except where the law says you can regardless.

The report cards, notes, and photos you create are yours. We claim no ownership of them and, since they never leave your device, we couldn't use them if we wanted to.

Disclaimer of warranties

SideWalker is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every timer, reminder, or calendar sync will fire exactly as intended. Some jurisdictions don't allow these exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tower Trove LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost earnings, or lost data, arising out of or relating to your use of SideWalker.

Our total liability for any claim relating to SideWalker is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim, or $50.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the effective date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the App Store release notes. Continuing to use SideWalker after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Ending your use

You can stop using SideWalker anytime by deleting it — remember to cancel any subscription separately. We may suspend or end your license if you materially breach these terms; the disclaimers and liability limits above survive.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Nothing here takes away consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
